A real Carpenter spends a lot of time and attention to make the perfect wood joint for his pergola, without using parts like a pergola bracket. But most people simply don't have the right tools and knowledge to make the perfect wood joint.
That is why we offer you various tools and tips to make a good wood joint for your pergola! With brands like PLUS, Garviks and Nesling you will always find the right bracket or pergola connector for your project, to ensure many years of pergola satisfaction!
Our pergola brackets and connectors are available in various sizes and models, and are suitable for all types of wood. Below you will find an overview of the possibilities of wood joints for your pergola.

  • PLUS Cubic brackets are made of hot dip galvanized steel and completely encircle the beam of your pergola.
  • PLUS Cubic black-line; From the beginning of 2021, the galvanized steel brackets by PLUS will also become available in a black, powder-coated version.
  • Garviks brackets for wood joints are open elements where the wooden beam of your pergola is inlaid and screwed on. The wood joint bracket is made of powder coated steel.
  • Nesling brackets for wood joints are open elements where the wooden beam of your pergola is inlaid and screwed on. The wood joint bracket is made of powder coated steel.

most probably you are asking yourself the question; what is the difference between the Garviks and Nesling pergola brackjets? Well ... there isn't! Except for the color ... and the brand of course ;-). The pergola kits from Nesling are powder coated in the color RAL7021, resembles anthracite / blue and provided with the Nesling logo, the Garviks connectors are powder coated in the color RAL9005, which is jet black and have no brand or logo on the bracket. The prices are also almost the same, so it is more a matter of color and the availability of stock that will determine your choice. However, Garviks has models available in various sizes so that these pergola connectors can also be used for thicker and heavier wooden beams.

The different type of brackets for a wood joint:

There are 5 different pergola connectors/brackets to make the following wood joints:

  1. Single corner bracket

    This connector is used to make a wood connection between 2 posts in a corner. It is hardly useful when building a pergola, this connector is mainly used when building fences or a possible extension of a pergola. The single corner connector is only available from the PLUS brand in 2 different sizes:

  2. Double corner bracket

    This connector is used to make a 3D wood joint between 3 posts in a corner: the standing post and the 2 beams. The 3-way corner bracket and is by far the most commonly used bracket when making a corner connection for a pergola. To make a free-standing pergola you need 4 corner brackets. The 3-way corner bracket is available by the PLUS, Garviks and Nesling brands in different sizes:

  3. Pergola wall bracket

    This connector is used to attach a wooden post / beam of the pergola to the wall. To make a wall pergola you need at least 2 wall brackets. The wall bracket is available by the PLUS, Garviks and Nesling brands in different sizes:

  4. Pergola extender

    This bracket is used to connect several wooden posts / pergola girders to each other or to provide a very long beam with an extra support post. These are the available models of the pergola extender; T-pieces from PLUS, Garviks and Nesling and a 4-way model from PLUS with which you can mount an extra crossbar in addition to the extension for extra stability in the width of the pergola.
    This is also possible with the extenders by Garviks or Nesling, but then it is a bit more difficult. We will explain how to do that later in a separate blog post.

  5. Pergola Floor bracket

    This floor bracket is used to attach a wooden post of the pergola to the floor to prevent it from sliding away. The floor bracket is available by the PLUS, Garviks and Nesling brands in different sizes:
