New in the Vinuovo collection is the Buitentrap tuin or deck-stair met houten trapleuning en RVS kabels - Beide zijden - 4-treden 71cm B 100cm.

We offer multiple outdoor handrail models, the key characteristics of this model are:

• Freestanding Trap buiten up to 7 treden. Above 7 treden you'll need to fix the upper stair to a wall or deck.
• Wooden handrail 7x7cm between wooden posts 85x85mm with a rounded top
• 4 stainless steel cables with tensioners as a balustrade.
• These deck-stairs are available up to 14 treden high, even 16 treden in 2024!
• Wooden handrail for links, rechts or both sides
• The deck-stair kits can be equipped with countertreden for increased stability
• all fastening materials are included
• Stainless steel screws by Reisser Germany
• Delivered as a Trap buiten kit, ready to assemble
• Stair treden planks out of pressure treated pin wood 28x145mm, 1 face smooth finish, 1 face double ridge profile.
  • In case you order your deck stairs with a handrail / balustrade on both sides, you can use the face you prefer. 
  • Do you order the handrail only on 1 side? Then we will manufacture yours Trap buiten with the double ridge profile on top by default. Please contact our customer service if you would like to have the smooth finish face on top.
• Wooden posts 85x85mm made out of laminated and pressure treated swedish pine. Very high quality wood and finishing with a reduced risk of deformation due to back to back lamination of the wood.
• Wooden handrail 70x70mm made out of massif pressure treated swedish pine

This outside stair is equiped with an integrated wooden handrail:

The balusters are integrated within the width of your stair step. A hole will be cut in some stair treden to make space for the baluster. This decreases the effective width of your step!
If you have a 60cm wide stair and you would cut out 85mm on the links and rechts for your balusters, the effective width of your stair becomes 43 centimeters... Frankly speaking; you need to be a very skinny person to climb those stairs! So we don't offer 60cm wide Trap buiten as a kit.

The advantages of an integrated wooden handrail are: kids will have less opportunity to slide between the stair balustrade and the treden (the treden go under the balustrade) and the treden are mounted a float with the staircase.

What are counter treden?

Counter treden are the uprechts planks between the treden of your Buitentrap tuincase. They close the gap between the stair treden.

Most people think counter treden only have a visual benefit, but thats not true...
There is also a mechanical benefit: the counter step supports the step on top of it, prohibiting the stair step to bend through or deflect.
The stair step on top of the counter step will have a much higher capacity and stability.

Counter treden also provide more stability to your Buitentrap tuincase and wooden handrail as a whole. Counter treden prevent the staircase to move links or rechts when walking on it or leaning to the stair balustrade.

This outside stair kit is composed with support posts to make it entirely free standing up to 7 treden. Above 7 treden you'll need to fix the upper stair to a wall or deck.
The number of supports posts included depends on the number of stringers for your Trap buiten, normally 2 or 3 depending on the width. 

A horizontal support post is also included to provide additional stability to the  stairs outside.

You might have mentioned that I prefer heavy duty constructions. In the outside posts, we pre-drill wholes for the 8x180mm Reisser stainless steel screws, you'll only need to drive the screws in.

If the Trap buiten kit contains a 3rd post in the middle, you simple fix this one with the Reisser Retinox 6x120mm screws, included in the kit. 
(No need to pre-drill any wholes, simply drive the screws in)
