This wooden support post is designed for use with Vinuovo BERLIN and MADRID XL outdoor stairs.
It supports the stair stringers and helps carry the weight of the staircase when fixing to a wall is difficult or not possible.

Support posts can be useful in various installation situations, for example:

• when the wall is in poor condition

• when fixing the stairs to a wall is not allowed (rental properties)

• when creating stairs from a window to access a rooftop

• for small stairs in front of a house door

• when accessing a mobile home

In these cases, support posts help support the staircase and reduce the load on wall fixings.

Important:
Support posts help carry the weight of the stairs, but they do not replace overall stability.

Especially for higher staircases, it is strongly recommended to fix the stairs to a wall to prevent the staircase from tipping or falling.

When using support posts, each stair stringer needs its own support post.

Check how many stringers your outdoor staircase has and order the same number of support posts.

Please note:

• Outdoor stairs always have at least two stringers

• The minimum order quantity is 2 pieces

Support posts are installed under the highest tread of the staircase.

Basic installation steps:

1. Determine the number of stringers

2. Order the corresponding number of support posts

3. Position each post under a stringer

4. Fix the post using the included screws

No pre-drilling is required for the included screws.

The support post is made from high-quality Swedish pine, laminated (glulam) and pressure treated Class 4, making it suitable for outdoor use.

Laminating the wood helps reduce bending and twisting, which is important for the stability of outdoor stairs.

Each support post includes:

• 2 Reisser HBS waferhead screws

• Size: Ø8 × 120 mm

• Material: A2 stainless steel

Choose the correct support post height based on the number of steps of your outdoor staircase.

The support post is 3 cm shorter than the total stair height, because it is installed under the highest tread, which is approximately 3 cm thick.
