In this blog post we explain exactly on what you have to pay attention before ordering your deck stairs with landing at Vinuovo.

Landing type  has the following specifications:

• Landing made of duplo glued impregnated wooden beams with a head size of 9x9cm (about 85x85mm after complete drying)
• The platform is equipped with 1 additional crossbeam against which you can mount the deck stairs. The deck stairs can then be 1 step lower than the landing. (e.g. stairs 4 steps high, platform 5 steps high. The stair landing itself is then the 5th step).
• Stair landing type AC is NOT fitted with handrails. (Handrails can be ordered separately and screwed on if required).
• Equipped with steps type C with head size 145x28mm, the same boards as the steps for outdoor stairs type C.
• Mounted with extra heavy stainless steel TKS screws 8x180mm from Reisser
• For fastening the boards, we supply stainless steel screws RT-UT 5x60mmfrom Reisser.
• Models 100cm or wider have an additional support beam in the middle of the platform to provide additional support for the deck boards
• Models of 5 steps or higher have 4 additional cross beams at the bottom between the legs to weigh down the structure

Type AC-BO is an extremely heavy and solid landing on which you could park a car! (Not recommended, but it would be possible...)

The second variant stair landing is made of hardwood and can be combined with our steel deck stairs to create deck stairs with landing:

Hardwood landing : combinable with our steel deck stairs with hardwood steps, this landing is offered in 5 different heights. 

This landing is compatible with the Metal stairs outdoor with Bankirai hardwood steps BALI.

1. Hardwood landing - Height 2 steps - 37cm 
2. Hardwood landing - Height 3 steps - 54cm
3. Hardwood landing - Height 4 steps - 71cm
4. Hardwood landing - Height 5 steps - 88cm

Of course, the same applies to this variant as to the deck stairs with landing type AC-ME, the variant with the height for 6 steps can be combined with our steel deck stairs height 5 steps, and the last step is the step to the stair landing itself.

Stair landing  has the following specifications:

• All hardwood beams in this stairway landing kit have a head size of 9x9cm and are of Angelim Vermelho hardwood. This is a Rolls-Royce among woods that lasts longer than a lifetime!
• The landing is equipped with 1 additional crossbeam against which you can mount the deck stairs. The deck stairs can then be 1 step lower than the landing. (e.g. stairs 4 steps high, landing 5 steps high. The landing itself is then the 5th step).
• Stair landing type DD is NOT fitted with handrails. (Handrails can be ordered separately and screwed on if required).
• 4 hardwood uprights in the height of your chosen landing
• 3 hardwood beams in the width of your chosen landing. You only need 2 girders for the landing itself, the 3rd additional beam is installed at the right height to fix our steel stair stringers one step lower than the landing. This allows you to use the landing as an extra step or to compensate for height differences.
• 2 hardwood beams along the length of your chosen landing. (Landings 1 metre wide or more include 1 extra beam lengthwise to properly support the floor).
  Sufficient extra-heavy stainless steel screws Ø8x180mm to screw all posts together.
• Bangkirai hardwood decking boards, 28mm thick and 145mm wide. The boards are cut to the width of the landing for your outdoor stairs.
• VSufficient stainless steel deck screws Ø5x60mm to screw the boards onto the landing.
